Many of his books were screened but except The Shining or Firestarter ( Carrie) the others are feeble attempts. Desperation is another example. I am glad I read the book first and saw the movie a couple of years later. I think I once read that the only day of the year he doesn't write is Christmas Day. <br /><br />I remember when he was hit by the minivan (I think he was walking his dog) and how touch-and-go it was. <br /><br />I've seen him do cameos in his movies and that's always exciting.
