 My Review

     I chose to read this novel having already read several books of this author – Sandra Cox – and I  knew I would not be disappointed. 
     I highly recommend it to readers who want several hours of a feeling good story. Queen of Diamonds is a well- rounded, fun romantic comedy that will leave you with a smile on your face.

      Kendall is not your usual heroine. Her obvious intelligence and perilous audacity make her an amazing character.

      Will her boss, Logan  Hunter, a famous mystery writer, manage to untangle the web of deceit and lies under which she covers the dangerous truth?

      Can Kendall master her feelings for Logan, a heart breaker?

      Other two characters, Caroline and Kendall’s father, complete the cast of characters that steal your heart.

Book Review - Boji Stones by Sandra Cox

My Review

I have always liked the novels that I’ve read by Sandra Cox and Boji Stones is no exception. Call it the romantic in me, but I always love a great ending. The book starts with the magnanimity of gods who give to five mortal women a magical amulet: of power, beauty, creativity,  knowledge and healing.

The story then moves to present-day times. We meet Maureen Sinclair who is the nowadays owner of the healing amulet. But there are other people having their eyes on the precious object.

 Can Jack Wolfe, the handsome professor, be a tool of the evil forces wanting to grab it? You can feel the sparks between Maureen and Jack, though she and her loyal friend Hank suspect he is behind the many bad things happening in her life.

The characters are fun and realistic, even Bella, who wants back the beauty amulet that was stolen from her. There’s a great scene when Maureen and Bella join forces in a hospital room.

I especially loved the plot in this book. The plot moved along nicely with twists thrown in. When you think the story goes to a predictable direction, a twist pushes everything to a rollercoaster of events. I loved how each chapter ends with a snippet, the POV of the mean character. This snippet becomes a cliffhanger. It doesn’t let you close the book and makes you want to find out who is who and what their target is.

It’s a nice, quick read; making it the perfect romantic suspense book.

My Review

I recommend Powers Stones  to everyone who owns a piece of jewelry or wants to offer such a thing as a gift to someone dear.

Either rough gemstones, or polished ones, or set in jewelry pieces, gemstones and crystals have been used for enhancing our lives in a variety of different ways since ancient times.

Mother Earth generously offers us a wide range of stones, crystals and semi-precious gemstones speaking  to us through form and color and maintaining correspondence with the human body. Gone through a geologic process of heating, cooling and displacement on their way to their present form, the energy field of different gemstones is influenced by their geometrical form, color and subtle vibration.   I learned, reading Power Stones, which each stone is made up of minute crystals which are in constant motion thus emitting an energy signature or frequency. The gemstone's color also plays a dynamic role in the stone's healing energy. The play of light and color can stimulate or calm; purify or heal.

Sandra Cox, the author, presents in her book how such stones can enhance our opportunities in choosing a career, in improving our health or the best ones for bringing prosperity, protection, love and tranquility.

         A very practical book that gives good advice on how  we can choose the best stone for us. I was actually impressed by how much useful information is squeezed in such a short book. Highly recommended.
